Over a decade ago, I wrote a brief lyric titled “Christ Privilege” as a response to the social justice, communist, and neo-Marxist ideologies I saw creeping into churches and Christian hip-hop circles. It was meant to be a clear statement: our highest identity is not found in “race,” class, or grievance, but in union with Christ. Unsurprisingly, it didn’t win me many friends. Some even accused me of being racist simply for rejecting the CRT and BLM narratives. Oh well.
Fast forward to 2025, and we now have this gem from Timothy Brindle and company. I’m genuinely encouraged to see faithful brothers offering a clear, Christ-centered response to the ideological drift that has only grown louder over the years. It’s especially refreshing given how often believers have been browbeaten into silence by the bully tactics of race hustlers and self-appointed gatekeepers of “justice.” Praise God for this bold and biblically grounded pushback. We need more of it.
