Observations from Matt Doyle, whom DeMar has blocked.
Both of the following quotes, from the 1994 edition of Last Day Madness have been deleted from the 1999 edition and I presume all the following printings as well. When Gary was confronted with this (on numerous occasions) as to whether he affirms them now, he refused to answer.
"When Jesus returns bodily--a still future event--He will have “abolished all rule and authority and power,” having put “all His enemies under His feet. The last enemy that will be abolished is death” (1 Corinthians 15:24-26). We await this glorious coming.”
Last Day Madness (1994) --Gary DeMar, p. 318
"Even if you do not accept this view (i.e. the blessed hope happened with the obliteration of the Old Covenant in 70 AD--my note), the only other possible interpretation of the "blessed hope" is that it is describing the bodily coming of Christ, an event that is still in our future."
Last Day Madness (1994)--Gary DeMar, pg. 192
Notice that in the second quote, Gary not only deleted it from the later editions of LDM but in so doing he also removed it as being a possibility that the Blessed Hope refers to the future bodily coming of Christ! And both of these quotes were revised out 24 years ago! So no, these views are not new to Gary.
