Good article. I agree with you that Acts 1:11 will be visible. Jesus went up with the clouds; He will return the same way: with the clouds of heaven. He will descend with a shout, with the trump of God, and the dead in Christ will rise. Then we who remain will be hanged and together we will meet Him in the air, where we will be forever with Him. Jesus will not set foot on earth to take up residence for a thousand-year millennial reign.
